One Short took 1,285 views and the channel's first two subscribers. That's 80% of every view Behaverly has ever had.
Every other video combined has 330 views. The Short was posted at the time vidIQ recommended, which is a hypothesis worth testing and not yet a conclusion.
One long-form upload and two Shorts clipped from it. The Short at the bottom was posted using vidIQ's recommended posting time. Studio lists publish dates in UTC, so the last Short shows as Oct 19 there.
| Video | Type | Views (as of Oct 19) | Published |
|---|---|---|---|
| Why You Hate Waiting in Line | Long-form | 4 | Oct 14 |
| Why Waiting Feels Longer: Anxiety & Uncertainty! | Short (33s) | 35 | Oct 18 |
| Visible Progress: The Key to Happier Waits! | Short (35s) | 1,285 | Oct 18 |
Visible Progress pulled 1,285 views and both of the channel's subscribers. The monthly audience chart went from 45 on Oct 17 to 767 on Oct 18.
The catch is that the traffic stayed in the clip. The long-form video it was cut from, "Why You Hate Waiting in Line", has 4 views. So far the Short hasn't sent viewers to the full video.
Visible Progress was posted at vidIQ's recommended time. Its sibling clip, "Why Waiting Feels Longer", was cut from the same long-form video about a day earlier and got 35 views. The clips are the same length (33s and 35s) and the same source, which makes this the closest thing to a test the channel has had.
It still can't prove the time slot did it. The hook, topic and thumbnail also differ between the two clips, and this is one pair. Long-form videos will be posted at vidIQ's recommended times starting Oct 20, which gives a second, cleaner comparison against earlier long-form posts.
Visible Progress shows only 23 thumbnail impressions and a 0% click-through rate despite 1,285 views. Shorts views come from the swipe feed, which Studio doesn't count as thumbnail impressions. So the channel-wide 1.16% click-through rate (4,050 impressions) reflects long-form and browse traffic only and says nothing about how the Short did.
